The New Product Industrialization (NPI) Supply Chain Manager is responsible to lead the supplier sourcing, purchasing and warehousing/logistics activities. You will support new product development projects.

 

Your responsibilities will cover the following:

  • Lead, coordinate and maintain the cohesion and motivation of the team
  • Ensure adherence to the applicable process for product introductions, qualifications, and supplier release to production
  • Lead the supplier sourcing, design transfer and qualification efforts in support of new product development
  • Source quality suppliers capable to meet project lead time and budget
  • Ensure appropriate supply agreements are in place to secure supply &/or services
  • Establish and lead a purchasing process, negotiate best pricing and delivery for tooling, prototype, and production materials
  • Responsible to manage product costed BOMs within business targets
  • Establish and lead the production and materials planning process to support prototype, qualification, and pilot production builds
  • Establish and lead a warehousing and inventory management process, to ensure appropriate materials controls are implemented
  • Establish a supply strategy to ensure achievement of longer-term capacity and cost targets
  • Support the procurement of Capital manufacturing equipment to establish a production line
  • Ensure tasks are completed and meet established timeframes
  • Identify and coordinate efforts to mitigate product and project risks

 

Qualifications

Holding a bachelor or master’s degree preferably in science, you have 8+ years of experience, in strategic sourcing, supply chain or commodity management. Medical device experience required.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following capabilities, competencies, and experience:

  • Working knowledge of Supply Chain / procurement / sourcing / category management methodologies as well as design transfer and manufacturing transfer projects.
  • Ability to develop large scale projects schedules, and to assess and manage cross functional team’s progress on assignments relative to project schedule
  • Ability to identify supplier and project risks, devise and implement mitigations
  • Demonstrated strong negotiation skills with the ability to drive value for business partners and suppliers
  • Familiar with process validation (pFMEA, IQ, OQ, PQ) and supplier qualification
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and six sigma methodologies
  • CPIM / APICS Certification preferred
  • Working knowledge of ISO13485 and FDA 21CFR820
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset and a result driven and quality driven approach
  • Ability to interact in a multicultural environment
  • Ability to leverage &/or engage others to accomplish assigned projects
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in organization

 

You have a very good level in French and English. You can use Microsoft Office Suite, Project and ERP.
