Job description

As an Machine Tool Operator, you will report to the Workshop Supervisor and work with the Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality teams and external suppliers.

You will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Drawing up prototype manufacturing methods and programs
  • Contribute to the maintenance and organization of all workshop equipment
  • Contribute to the proper documentation of manufacturing data and maintain good commercial relations with suppliers
  • Provide ongoing manufacturing support to the R&D team
  • Carry out mechanical rework according to need and demand.

Qualifications

  • You have a CAP to Bac professionnel (vocational training certificate) with a specialization in turning, milling or machining.
  • You have at least 7 to 10 years’ experience in a similar position in the medical devices sector or in environments involving precision mechanics.

 

Specific knowledge
  • Machining techniques and methods/means
  • Programming languages for digital machines (Siemens, FANUC)
Technical skills
  • Read a drawing
  • Know how to use dimensional control equipment
  • Ability to analyze non-conformities and determine corrective actions
  • Ability to communicate on the feasibility or otherwise of machining parts.
People skills
  • Good communication skills
