Job description

The Draftsman M/W is responsible for:

  • Create and update detailed technical drawings of assemblies and parts via SolidWorks
  • Ensure final assembly conforms to design entry requirements
  • Perform dimension chain analyzes to ensure compliance with assembly requirements and component tolerances
  • Process drawings through the approval flow and keep them up to date in the PDM system
  • Communicate with design and research engineers to obtain design requirements and inform them of potential issues identified
  • Design of tools and test benches


You have a Bac to Bac+2 level and have at least 3 years of experience in a similar position.

More specifically:

  • Working knowledge and experience in new product development
  • Mastery of drawing standards and geometric dimensions and tolerances (ISO 128, 2768, ASME Y14.5)
  • Ability to deal with engineering changes and nonconforming products
  • Ability to assess own progress in assignments against project schedule
  • IT skills: Microsoft Office Suite, CAD software (Solidworks), PDM software

The following knowledge would be valuable:

  • Proficient in Solidworks
  • Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and working within a Quality Management System.
  • Experience designing or creating drawings for parts or tools for use in a cleanroom environment or hermetic components.
  • Experience working in cross-functional environment, interfacing with multiple teams.

Experience developing drawings and specifications for alternative production methods: 3D printing of metallic components, injection molding of polymer components, etc.

Strong team spirit, autonomy, rigor and a positive spirit.
