Job description

As a Design Staff Engineer, you will be part of a team of 3-5 employees.

You will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Creation of specifications for the subsystem for which he/she is responsible (algo, electronic board, etc.)
  • Design or manage subsystems based on specifications
  • Definition of a detailed schedule and budget to achieve the objectives set by the company
  • Contribute to the development of a complete product test and analysis protocol.
  • Root cause analysis to solve problems
  • Creation or updating of required quality assurance documentation
  • Development or optimization of subsystem based on test results.

Qualifications

  • You have at least 5 years’ higher education in an engineering school (specializing in mechanical engineering or biomedical engineering)
  • You have at least 8 to 10 years’ experience in a similar position in the medical device sector, or in a variety of demanding environments (high production quality) such as aeronautics, aerospace, automotive or other regulated mechanical industries
  • You have already managed teams of 2-5 people (team coordination, technical reference, guaranteeing smooth operation, etc.)
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential for this position (international environment).
Specific knowledge
  • Technical expertise in a specific field (algo, math…)
  • Knowledge of project management tools
  • Knowledge of technical expertise standards and regulatory requirements.
Technical skills
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Microsoft Office Suite and Project
  • Rapid prototyping and manufacturing processes
  • Tolerance analysis, 2D drawing generation, GD&T modeling, GPS and 3D CAD
  • Knowledge of ISO + GPS dimensioning concepts.
